Delete your CrownChain account

You can delete your account and personal data at any time, from the app or by email. This page is the one Google Play and the App Store link to for CrownChain, by CrownChain.

In the app (fastest)

1. Open CrownChain and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account, then confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away. It cannot be undone.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app, email kwesi.buabeng@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my CrownChain account”, from the email address on the account, or include your CrownChain username. We may ask you to confirm the request is yours. We delete the account within 30 days, and usually much sooner, and tell you when it is done.

What is deleted

• Your profile: name, username, photo, school, class year and dorm.
• Your contact details: email address and phone number, including the scrambled copies friends' phones use to find you. Contacts you synced were only compared, never stored.
• Your friends, blocks, notifications, activity feed and devices.
• Invites you sent that nobody accepted, and the contact details in them.
• Any campus captain seat or club membership you held.

You are signed out on every device, and the account can never be signed in to again.

What is kept, and for how long

• Crowns you gave stay with the people who received them, shown as from a deleted user. Nothing links them to you.
• Purchase records are kept where the law requires them (tax, accounting and fraud prevention), for as long as it requires them.
• Backups that may still contain your data are overwritten within 14 days.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account cancels Pro or Plus for you if you subscribed through Google Play or on the web, so it will not renew.

If you subscribed on an iPhone, Apple does not let apps cancel for you. Cancel it yourself so it doesn't renew: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › CrownChain › Cancel Subscription.
